1. Data Collection (Hybrid)
Legends Rift uses a hybrid approach to data storage to maximize your user experience while respecting your privacy.
- Guest Mode (Default): Your preferences (language, local quiz progress) are stored solely on your device via 'LocalStorage'. No personal data is sent to our servers.
- Account Mode (Logged In): By creating an account, we collect your email address (hashed), a username, and your global progress for cross-device synchronization. This data is stored in our secure database.
2. Use of Riot Games Data
We interact with the official Riot Games API to retrieve public game information (Champions, Items, Patch Notes). We do not store your League of Legends credentials or passwords.
3. Security & Storage
Our databases are hosted in Europe (GDPR Compliant). We use standard encryption protocols (AES-256) to protect data in transit and at rest.
4. Cookies & Consent Management
We use a persistent technical cookie named 'legends-rift-consent' (valid for 365 days) to store your privacy preferences. In accordance with GDPR and Google Consent Mode v2: (1) Google AdSense and Google Analytics 4 (including Google Signals for global anonymized demographic statistics) do not collect any data and block all tracking if consent is declined; (2) Analytical tools (Vercel Analytics, Speed Insights, Google Analytics) only execute if you click 'Allow All'. You can change your choices at any time through the cookie manager or by clearing your browser cookies.
