Target mode on Legends Rift is a game of investigation and general knowledge about League of Legends. It tests your deep understanding of the physical, geographical, and mechanical characteristics of all champions to identify a mystery target with a minimum of attempts.
To excel in Target mode, you must internalize Riot Games' champion taxonomy. This analytical training helps you better categorize in-game threats. For example, mentally grouping champions by resource type or range develops your understanding of lane matchups and strategic windows of opportunity. You start by proposing a champion name at random. The system then compares this champion with the mystery target according to several key attributes: Gender (Male, Female, Other), Role (Top, Jungle, Mid, ADC, Support), Species (Human, Yordle, Vastaya, Undead, Demon, Golem...), Resource (Mana, Energy, Manaless...), Combat Range (Melee or Ranged), and Runeterra Region. Arrows and colors indicate how close you are to the target.
To find the mystery champion as quickly as possible, start by proposing a very generic champion to eliminate or confirm as many attributes as possible (for example, a male human champion using mana in the Mid lane). Then use color and region clues to drastically narrow down the search field. This scientific method allows you to precisely target the solution in fewer than 5 attempts. It is the perfect training before challenging the Tactician algorithms.
Attributes are extracted and verified against Riot Games' official biographies and the League of Legends wiki stats to ensure absolute accuracy.
There is no strict limit, but your goal is to find the mystery champion with as few guesses as possible to rank high on the daily leaderboard.
